Arsaniq Program: A safe space for self-identifying 2SLGBTQIA+ Inuit  

Through the services offered by the program, self-identifying 2SLGTBQIA+ Inuit are supported in regaining their culture and language. They have increased access to peer social support to reduce isolation and loneliness, improving their overall sexual health awareness and bring awareness to other safe services.  

The program coordinator is here to help self-identifying 2SLGBTQIA+ Inuit and their family members access assistance in navigating resources and supports available.

Our goal is to:

  • Deliver programs that respect the diverse needs of all 2SLGBTQIA+ Inuit, regardless of their ability, sexual orientation, political or religious beliefs 
  • Provide support that is flexible and specific to the immediate crisis situation. The level of support is based on an assessment of the individual’s needs and preferences  
  • Community-led and prevention-focused  
  • Have Inuit Women Empowering Inuit Women
