Illipalialisaaqtilugu EarlyON Child and Family Centre

What is EarlyON?

Illipalialisaaqtilugu EarlyON and Family Centre welcomes all Inuit families with children from 0-6. We offer programs and support services to enhance child and parent/caregiver bond, cultural knowledge, pride, and identity. We provide rich, stimulating cultural activities which promote healthy pregnancies, early literacy skills and support early childhood development.

  • Join us for cultural activities, reading, storytelling circle time and more.

  • Get advice from our trained professionals in Early Childhood Development.

  • Get connected with Tungasuvvingat Inuit services and other community resources.

  • Connect with other families with young children.

2025-2029 Child Care and Early Years Service System Plan (SSP)

Last year we had a community engagement for community members to give input and feedback to the 2025-2029- Childcare and Early Years System service plan. The community can now access if they wish on the city of Ottawa website and available for everyone who would like to read the final version.
The SSP is a road map for the next five years that guides the planning and delivery of local ELCC services, ensuring programs are responsive to the needs of children 0 to 12 years old and their families. It outlines:
  • a long-term vision,
  • a five-year strategy statement,
  • eight strategic priorities, and
  • 55 actions to support the changing needs of children and families.

EarlyON Child and Family Centre is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education/City of Ottawa. There are no fees for any of our services.
