Youth in Transition Programs (YIT)
The Youth in Transition Programs support Inuit youth who are or were in extended care (formerly crown-wardship) with an Ontario CAS and need support as they transition into adulthood and independence.
Our amazing team is passionate about youth and include positions like that Youth in Transition Housing Support Worker. The YITW Housing Support Worker supports 16 and 17-year-old Inuit who are in need of protection and enter into a voluntary Youth Services Agreement with CAS. Support is provided to assist in securing or maintaining housing and navigating adult systems.

Additional Programming
Also included in the YIT programs are weekly Youth Nights. These fantastic and fun evenings are open to Inuit youth ages 12-24. The youth gather at our 297 Savard Avenue in Vanier location every Wednesday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
