Through the services offered by the program, Inuit youth are supported in their emotional well-being through holistic, culturally grounded supports that instill a sense of belonging, purpose, meaning and hope, in the context of their communities.

Our goal is to:

  • Improve mental health and well-being of Inuit youth by increasing traditional knowledge, enhancing cultural identity through holistic, land-based, and culturally appropriate mental health services and programming  
  • Improve outcomes and opportunities for Inuit youth in Ontario by increasing access to evidence-based programming and interventions  
  • Provide opportunities and resources for Inuit youth to access support on the mental wellness spectrum  
  • Enable Inuit youth to remain in their communities, receiving culturally appropriate services from local providers and preventing them from escalating into crisis
